Can you lose fat cells?
This question comes up frequently, particularly since spending many hours performing the marvellous Shrinking Violet Body Wrap Treatment.
During one hour on a warmed bed, covered in a beautiful oil and wrapped in heat retaining wrapture, clients are getting off the bed, having lost on average 4-8 inches - sometimes more, requiring no invasive or painful treatments.
The one question always asked - where have my fat cells gone - have I lost them?
I've done a fair bit of research into this, to answer this question as informatively and honestly as I can. The mainstream consensus is no you can't. Fat cells are filled with fat over time, and become larger. Eventually if they become very large, they can divide and increase in numbers, and unfortunately never lose them - BUT - the good news - you can SHRINK them!
Once we get to adulthood, the number of fat cells normally remains the same. When you put on weight, the fat cells enlarge in size. When you lose weight, this has the opposite effect.
Shrinking Violet helps to shrink the fat cells. When followed up with a good and clean eating plan, healthy exercise and avoiding stimulants such as sodas, caffeine, alcohol and sugars, these fat cells will remain in their shrunken state - hence you KEEP the inches off.
Hope that makes the fat cell question a little easier to understand.
Obviously this post is my opinion and carried out with my own research. There are lots of detailed blogs and posts regarding this issue :))
